Synopsis

Project X Origins: Purple Book Band, Oxford Level 8: Buildings: Sandcastle by Jan Burchett, Sara Vogler

Project X Origins is a ground-breaking guided reading programme for the whole school. Action-packed stories, fascinating non-fiction and comprehensive guided reading support meet the needs of children at every stage of their reading development. Sandcastle follows Max and Tiger during a trip to the beach, as they shrink to explore their sandcastle at micro-level. However Max's little sister Molly does not see them, and is approaching the sandcastle with a big bucket of water! Each book contains inside cover notes that highlight challenge words, prompt questions and a range of follow-up activities to support children in their reading.

About the Author

Jan and Sara were already friends when one day they decided they wanted to write children's stories and it would be more fun to write them together. That was 15 years ago. Since then they've written over 130 stories - including some about ghosts, football, ghosts playing football and naughty gargoylz. Jan lives in Essex with her family and Sara lives in London with hers. They both have black cats who completely rule their lives.
