Project X Origins: Purple Book Band, Oxford Level 8: Buildings: Mr Grim's Tower by Damian Harvey

Project X Origins is a ground-breaking guided reading programme for the whole school. Action-packed stories, fascinating non-fiction and comprehensive guided reading support meet the needs of children at every stage of their reading development. As Mr Grim is grumpy living in the busy town, he decides to move to a tower by the sea, in Mr Grim's Tower. However, he begins to feel lonely, so decides to make his seaside tower a bit more friendly and noticeable. Each book contains inside cover notes that highlight challenge words, prompt questions and a range of follow-up activities to support children in their reading.

About the Author

Damian Harvey

Damian Harvey lives in North Wales with his lovely wife, Vicky. He has three wonderful daughters, one brilliant son and a fat, lazy cat called Polly. Before becoming a writer he worked as a painter and decorator, a lifeguard, a swimming teacher, and as an assistant in a record shop. He's now written around 70 books for children and is busy writing more. Although Damian enjoys sitting at home writing stories, he also spends a lot of time visiting schools, libraries and festivals to give lively, interactive performance sessions that are designed to enthuse and excite children about books, reading, and writing stories of their own.
