Synopsis

Time Pirates Kraken Attack! by Mike Brownlow

The Time Pirates are getting bored. No-one has tried to take over the world for weeks, and things are getting pretty dull. But all that's about to change when water levels start rising fast ...very fast! A journey through history to the underwater city of Atlantis holds the key to the rising water. Can the Time Pirates battle the crazed kraken and break Poseidon's curse in time to save the world? With a nail-bitingly exciting story, press-out pieces, two stand-alone pop-up vehicles and an amazing pop-up underwater world - this is the perfect book for young adventure fans.

About the Author

Mike has worked as a freelance illustrator for many years. He has worked for many well-known UK and international companies, and has created branded characters for the likes of Marks and Spencer and Boots, as well as writing and drawing a long-running cartoon strip for the Royal Mail. In 1997 he began to write and illustrate children's picture books. The first to be published was WAY OUT WEST . . . WITH A BABY, closely followed by LITTLE ROBOTS. This second book attracted the attention of Lego Media (now Create TV and Film), and has now been turned into a major animated TV show. As well as creating the book, Mike has also written several of the episodes for the TV series.

Mike's other recent picture books include THE BIG WHITE BOOK, I'VE GOT NITS!, LITTLE ROBOT RABBIT and BOUNCING BABIES. He is currently working on a picture book for Bloomsbury entitled MICKEY MOONBEAM.
