A Bird in the Hand by Anne Rooney

Immy is all dressed up to go into town with her friends and to accidentally-on-purpose bump into Alastair! On the way, she discovers an injured bird. She can't just leave it, but she doesn't want to miss Alastair, either! Then Adam Green, the scruffy Goth, comes along...Shots from the Heart is a fantastic collection of four romance short stories, each about 1500 words long. Straight from cupid's arrow, this series provides a short, sparkly shot of romance for readers fed up with vampires, magic and sci-fi!
