Passport to the World by Anna Lee

Passport to the World features stunning photograph of people and places throughout the world help children identify the similarities and differences between various countries. Children are introduced to the names and locations of places across the globe and learn how they are connected to some of the countries that make up our world. Using simple maps, photographs and examples of pupils' work, children investigate the world around them, different places in the UK and abroad, holidays, money, stamps and food. The best-selling Start-Up series has been rewritten to emphasise the cross-curricular teaching potential of each title. Each spread includes notes and activities, highlighting ways in which learning can be extended into various subject areas. The other key change on the original series will be revamped end sections featuring extension learning details together with latest internet and web resource information.
