Synopsis

Chamelia and the New Kid in Class by Ethan Long

It's the first day of school, and Chamelia's teacher introduces the class to a new student, Cooper. Chamelia can't help but envy the attention Cooper receives from their classmates and as he gets under her skin, she schemes to steal the spotlight back. But, in the end, Chamelia learns that it is her kindness that really makes her stand out. Plus, everyone can use a sidekick, right? Chamelia is back in this fun story that highlights her irresistible joie de vivre and voracious appetite for life, while playfully touching on themes about friendship and individuality.

His digitally collaged pictures, which are composed along a single, stagelike plane, have comic energy.
