This course is written to cover the Sierra Leone Primary syllabus in Environmental and Social Studies. There are six Pupil's Books in the series. Books 1, 2 and 3 are illustrated in full colour. The remaining books use two colour artwork, maps and many black and white photographs specially taken for this series. The layout is designed to make pupils want to learn about themselves, their environment and their country. A Teacher's Book is available for each of the Pupil's Books. This provides a wealth of background information and suggestions for the following: teaching environmental and social studies; planning and evaluation; teaching methods; using the course; maps skills; interpreting pictures and diagrams.
