Synopsis

Amos Jellybean Gets it Right by Joanna Walsh

Amos Jellybean is a bright child, sometimes he has problems remembering. From sitting on his breakfast to eating his clothes, jumping on his hat and carrying his bike, he muddles his way to school and home again. No matter how hard he tries, poor Amos just can't seem to get it right. A wonderful picture book for all those who have ever been in a muddle!

Reviews

With a kaleidoscope of textures, crayons drawings, shapes and patterns with a distinct retro vibe, Joanna matches the images perfectly to the concept and then creates further confusion with text that shoots off in all directions. But don't worry if this is all beginning to sound a bit too complex for a bedtime read - somehow the chaos is organised so that you know where to read... I wanted the story to be reassuring says Joanna. I think all children get confused. Children's lives are so busy; everything's new. Things that adults take for granted can be quite strange to children. Why not eat your tea in the garden or put socks on your ears? Why not, indeed. Junior A wonderful picture book for all those that have ever been in a muddle! Reading Evening Post A hilarious picture book. What's On
