About the Author

Pat Moon

Pat Moon's experience as a housemother in a children's home and as a teacher have helped her to create the vivid, true-to-life characters found in her novels.
Pat Moon wrote her first novel, Double Image, after attending Jan Mark's course on writing for children. Published in 1993 by Orchard Books. Double Image went on to be shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize.
Her second novel, The Spying Game met with equal success and was shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Award and the Writer's Guild Award. It was also broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Nathan's Switch and The Ghost of Sadie Kimber are her latest novels for older readers.
Pat has since gone on to write equally successful stories for younger children including Do Not Read This Book which was one of the Federation of Children's Book Groups' Pick of the Year and was shortlisted for the Sheffield Children's Book Award. Do Not Read Any Further continued the series and irrepressible Finch returns with more secrets in life, love, lies and truth in Do Not Read Or Else in May 2006.

A great way to introduce kids to great books, authors & genres. Parents can find age-appropriate books to share with their children.

Judi Davies – Aberdare Girls Sch

It is fantastic, you get to read lots of books and you always find something new and amazing in them.

Erica Motoc, age 7

I love all the books they recommend & put up for me to review. I also love the fact that they give new authors the chance to share their boo

Daisy Pennock – age 15

I am so pleased to have signed my kids up as they are reading a much wider range of books and even choosing books out of their comfort zone.

Angela East

It is THE website to use for narrowing down your search for any book. Definitely knocks the socks off any other book review website.

Nickey and Tomasz Hawryszczuk

I have told all my friends, family & teachers to see for themselves just how great the site is. Without fail, they are hugely impressed.

Alexander Boxall – age 11

We love Lovereading as my 5 year old loves to read new books before anyone else has a chance, she says it makes reading exciting!
