Synopsis

Mr Wishing Went Fishing by Irma Wilde

Mr. Wishing gets a friend for his pet fish! Mr. Wishing decides to go fishing for a pet fish and finds Skipper, a perfect companion. But Skipper needs a friend! Mr. Wishing goes on another rowboat jaunt, but all he manages to catch are a starfish and a crab, which are not the ideal fish bowl companions for Skipper. Finally, Mr. Wishing brings home another fish, Flipper, and Skipper is happy as can be!

About the Author

Irma Wilde (1907-1991) wrote and illustrated many picture books during the 1950s and 1960s. Many of her books were done in collaboration with her husband, illustrator George Wilde.
