Goodnight, Baby Bat! by Debi Gliori

Goodnight, Baby Bat! by Debi Gliori

'Bed time, Baby Bat. Time to brush your teeth and your face. Have you washed behind your wings? Thought not'. Baby Bat is full of beans and he does not want to go to bed. At least not until Snail, Caterpillar, Spider and the Moon are tucked in and he thinks the whole world is sleeping. Will Mummy Bat ever manage to get Baby Bat off to sleep?

Through her bold and bright illustratins and the use of flaps and an acetate spread for a snowdrift, Debi Gliori gives bats a makeover in a familiar story embellished with new rituals Guardian There's no-one quite like Debi Gliori for filling each page of a picture book with immediately exciting shapes backed up by a dramatic use of colour -- Nicholas Tucker Carousel Detailed flaps and an intricate flurry of snowflakes add an interactive element to this gentle tale Junior A winter bedtime story, sufficiently long to satisfy most pre-schoolers as one by one various mini-beasts, plus the sun and the Earth are tucked in for the night The Bookseller Debi Gliori's talents as a writer and artist are clear and this book will appeal greatly to a very young audience and their parents. Ideal for sharing, the story lends itself to being read aloud and encourages interaction
