There's a new girl in Honeypot Hill and she and Poppy instantly become friends. They're getting on really well - Abigail's so talented, she plays the piano and the violin - until Poppy starts showing off...Will Poppy be brave enough to admit to Abigail that she got a bit carried away, and will she realize that everyone is good at different things and that there's no need to be jealous of your friends, so that she can be a true princess?

Reviews

A lovely series of picture books ... Based on reality rather than a fantasy kingdom which make her much easier to relate to. The adorable illustrations, coupled with innocent stories, makes these books ideal for reading aloud ... Sure to become real favourites South Wales Argus With soft pink pictures and a secret letter for the reader, these suit dainty little ladies down to the ground. The simple language and easy pace make them a good first read Junior

About the Author

Janey Louise Jones

Janey Jones is a full-time writer and mother of three. She was born in Edinburgh but grew up by the seaside just outside the city.
She read English at Edinburgh University specializing in the Victorian novel.
Following this she became a teacher - a career that she absolutely adored - and then, with her husband, set up The Jelly Club, which has become an extremely successful chain of children's activity centres in Scotland.
Her childhood dream of writing about her alter ego, Princess Poppy, was realised through self-publishing in 2005. The hugely popular Princess Poppy series has sold over three million copies to date and has been translated into several languages.
