A lovely way to celebrate happy times, as well as acknowledging the times when we feel scratchy, grumpy, and yucky , too. -- Catherine O'Dolan * Junior * An introduction for the youngest readers to the different feelings they experience, from sad to funny, angry to sunny, and even lost and small. * Booktrust *

About the Author

Gillian Shields

Gillian Shields was born and brought up in Yorkshire. As she grew up, she had two passions; books and theatre. Gillian’s love of books led her to read English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. After university she studied acting in London, and then worked in a drama school for several years, becoming Vice-Principal.

Having children gave Gillian an excuse to carry on reading children’s books, as well as motivation to write them. She has a young son and a grown-up daughter, and is married to Brian, who works for the International Herald Tribune.
