Synopsis

Sometimes I'm a Monster by Gillian Shields

Part of the My First Picture Book series: printed on toddler-tough card with rounded corners Sometimes I'm an angel, helpful, sweet and kind. But sometimes I'm a Monster with mischief on my mind! Award-winning illustrator Georgie Birkett brings to life these four lovable friends as they show that every child has a monster, as well as a little angel, inside them. This is a witty look at good and bad manners, full of warmth and humour, and a wonderful companion to Sometimes I Feel Sunny .

About the Author

Gillian Shields

Gillian Shields was born and brought up in Yorkshire. As she grew up, she had two passions; books and theatre. Gillian’s love of books led her to read English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. After university she studied acting in London, and then worked in a drama school for several years, becoming Vice-Principal.

Having children gave Gillian an excuse to carry on reading children’s books, as well as motivation to write them. She has a young son and a grown-up daughter, and is married to Brian, who works for the International Herald Tribune.
