About the Author

Dawne Alexis-Allette is a published children's author, poet, journalist from Grenada, West Indies. Ms. Allette is well known for her very inspiring, lyrical and funny picture books for children. Her titles include Caribbean Animals, North American Animals and the very popular, What Will I Be and Choices, Choices. Ms. Allette is a motivational speaker and the facilitator/creator of Weaving Words Writing Workshops in Baltimore, where she teaches creative writing skills to adults and youth. She is also a facilitator of literary skills for the Baltimore Public School System and the Baltimore County Public Libraries.
