Synopsis

Mental Maths Tests Age 12-13 by Andrew Brodie

Each CD features five complete mental maths tests reflecting the style of mental maths tests that KS3 students are given in Year 8. Single level tests are optional for this age group but most schools do them. These Mental maths tests are entirely on a CD which contains both audio files for the spoken element and printable pdfs for the write-on test sheets. The teacher can then simply print out the required number of pupil sheets and play the CD on a computer or CD player. The audio is a particularly important element of this product because: - it provides a different voice to reflect true test conditions - the tests involve very specific time requirements between questions for children to do their working and this allows the teacher to work with the pupils without having to worry about the timing element After the test the question sheets can be displayed on a whiteboard for discussion or the answer sheet can be displayed for students to mark their own work.

About the Author

Andrew Brodie was a head teacher for twelve years after many successful years in the primary classroom. He began writing his best-selling educational books in 1992 and since then has established himself as a name that teachers have come to trust. He is still very much involved in education and continues to teach on a regular basis.

Shannon-Louise Masters – age 15

I have told all my friends, family & teachers to see for themselves just how great the site is. Without fail, they are hugely impressed.

Alexander Boxall – age 11

I love Lovereading as it provides an honest opinion and showcases a range of fiction. Suited to both parents & kids alike, it’s a must-use.
