Synopsis

Jim's Birthday Surprise by Kaina-Kaine Sonsiama

This story is about a little boy called Jim who did not remember his birthday. He only found out it was his birthday when he entered the sitting room that morning and found a surprise waiting for him. Children love surprises. A series of questions at the end of the book will encourage young readers to read carefully and help them to learn the importance of remembering dates and appointments.

About the Author

Kaina-Kaine Sonsiama is a member of the Christian royal family of the Kono district of Sierra Leone, where she was born. Now a British citizen, she lives in London with her eleven year old daughter. Kaina-Kaine's father was a head teacher and author, and, like him she is a keen writer. She has written children's books, poems and religious books.
