Synopsis

Nigel, the Grumpy Cat by Gianluca Bordi

Nigel was usually a happy cat who lived with his two best friends, Ben the dog and Dolly the bird. Everything was going well until one day he became grumpy. Why was Nigel so grumpy? Why did he stop playing with his friends and spend most of the time on his own? Ben and Dolly were very worried about him and tried to cheer him up but they were getting nowhere. Finally all became clear, so let us find out how Ben and Dolly helped Nigel to be a happy cat again.

About the Author

Gianluca Bordi was born in Ancona, Italy, in 1975. From a young age he has been fascinated by art in its many forms and styles including graphic novels, the fine arts, and photography. This interest led him to study with the Ancona Art College in 1996, after which he worked as a photographer in a graphics studio for several years. In 2005, at the age of 30 years, Gianluca decided that it was time for a change of career which led him to move to the UK. He settled in Cardiff, and started working in education, initially as a 'playworker' and subsequently as a qualified teaching assistant. He currently works in a multicultural primary school in Cardiff. Between 2012 and 2014 he further developed and merged his interests in art and primary education by completing the London Art College's courses in Illustrating Children's Books. In addition to his interests in art and design, Gianluca's hobbies include aikido, yoga, reading, travelling and photography.
