- year olds. While laying the table and preparing a meal Sam and his mum share information. Sam knows where his food goes and with his mum's help he learns the correct terms for the processes involved. Healthy eating habits and diet are presented in an entertaining way and Sam has fun with the more explosive words in his vocabulary. Big, bright illustrations will inform and amuse children while remaining adults of the necessity to eat properly. Parents and teachers will enjoy using this book to deal with an important but awkward subject. An index of new vocabulary is included to reinforce learning. Colourful illustrations, clear explanations and examples are child friendly and could give rise to enjoyable debate with the embarrassment factor removed. (Kirkus UK)
