This is a set of teaching notes for the six books in the Christian First Look series: God , Jesus , The Church , The Bible , The Christian Life and Prayer . The series is for use in primary schools and other educational settings. The notes contain background information for the non-specialist teacher, with information on how to do further research by pre-reading relevant Bible passages. There are easy-to-follow lesson plans for each page of the First Look series, and the notes suggest how to present the page in class. There are activities provided for developing main points, suggestions for further work and useful listings of complementary resources, including reference books and Bible story books.

Lois Rock has established an international reputation as a children’s writer. Specialising in Bible stories, prayer books and information books, her books have been translated into over 30 languages with sales approaching 4 million copies. She draws on her experience as a mother of three and as a leader of church children’s groups.
