Synopsis

Safely Through the Night by Elena Pasquali

Emily settles down to sleep with her beloved Cinnamon Bear, safely tucked up with Hug the quilt. When a sparkly starbeam comes tapping at the window, Emily tries to tidy it away...but she ends up having to wind it up like sparkly wool for miles and miles through and over the night-time world. Suddenly it pulls tight and then lifts her up in a twinkling: a waiting child angel is full of thanks - she had dropped a ball of Granny angel's knitting wool, and Emily has wound it up safely. Granny angel gives Emily a knitted ball...and suddenly it turns into the golden rising sun. A reassuring going-to-bed book that promises starlight, angels close at hand and a golden new morning.
