Synopsis

1001 Pirate Things to Spot by Rob Lloyd Jones

Young children will immerse themselves in the swashbuckling world of the pirates in this new addition to the immensely popular 1001 Things to Spot series from Usborne. Scenes include a daring pirate raid, the pirates popping into port and fast-paced pirate races, all of which contain items and objects to spot. Overflowing with detail, this title encourages both visual recognition and also helps to develop number skills. Each double page contains small images that show children what they need to spot in the main image and how many are hidden - there are over 1,000 different images waiting to be discovered throughout the book.

About the Author

Rob Lloyd Jones

Rob Lloyd Jones never wanted to be a writer when he grew up. He wanted to be a fireman. Or a polar explorer. Or a deep-sea diver. And sometimes a pirate too. But, when it came down to it, he didn’t much like fire, or ice, or sharks, or even swords. So he decided to write about them instead. Since then, he’s written several books on subjects ranging from animals at war to the history of Islam. He loves it. But he still dreams about being a fireman.
