Fairytale Treasury by Rosie Dickins

Fairytale Treasury by Rosie Dickins

A classic anthology comprising eighteen classic fairytales from across the world, retold for younger readers. The Frog Prince, Sleeping Beauty, Prince Ivan and the Firebird, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Snow Queen and others are all illustrated with beautiful, watercolour artwork by Alan Marks.

'A vibrant collection of stories from many traditions' - Lovereading4kids; 'As all treasuries should be, golden vines clamber up a proper cloth cover, while inside, the stories are a satisfying mix of both traditional and the less familiar, illustrated with deft, dreamy watercolours that leave images on the mind long after the end - vicious enveloping thorns; the beast in the brocade coat; Puss in trademark footwear facing up the ogre; a gold carriage and horse with a twinkling mane; a bluebird. And it is also properly equipped with a ribbon to bookmark favourite stories as well as an explanation at the back to explain the origin of each tale' - Families South East Magazine; 'These beautiful clothbound editions of English classics retold for children are a real treat and an antidote to Holiday TV or computer games...a lovely introduction to the joys of English literary classics, great for young readers' - Fluxlings'
