Synopsis

Brer Rabbit and the Blackberry Bush by Louie Stowell

Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox are always trying to outwit each other. But when Fox catches Rabbit in a trap, Fox soon discovers that he's not quite as cunning as he thinks...This key series was developed in conjunction with reading expert Allison Kelly from the University of Surrey. Every title has clear and compelling text that allows children to build their burgeoning reading skills and is accompanied by charming and highly appealing illustrations. It is a new title in the fantastic First Reading series, aimed at children who are beginning to read.

About the Author

Louie Stowell

Louie Stowell is a children’s writer. She writes non-fiction about space, spaceships, history and other true things. She also writes retellings of myths about tricksters and other shadowy figures and stories about pirates and vampires. Louie’s also written a book about how to write books and comics about how to make comics. She draws comics about gods and politicians (not together) and runs workshops and loves science fiction and real science more or less equally, although she remains disappointed about science’s failure to (so far) create flying cars.
