H.I.V.E. Higher Institute of Villainous Education by Mark WaldenH.I.V.E. (Higher Institute of Villainous Education) is a top secret school of applied villainy where children with a precocious talent for wrongdoing are sent to develop their talents into criminal mastermind. After all, 'villains have the best lines and wear the best costumes'. One small catch is that the children cannot leave until training is complete, six years later. With villainy comes a certain freedom of thought, and every year one student in particular will show exceptional talent - after all, it takes the best to produce the worst. This year there are two students: Otto Malpense and his new friend Wing Fanchu are both exceptionally bad, and they are definitely not keen on being held against their will for six long years.
About The Author
Mark Walden’s first book, H.I.V.E., was selected as a winner in Richard and Judy’s ‘Best Kids’ Books Ever’. Paramount has optioned the film rights, and it was chosen as one of ten titles for Booktrust’s Booked Up scheme, which gives every secondary school student a free book. Mark has followed this success with two further titles in the extraordinarily brilliant H.I.V.E. series and was selected as a WBD author for 2009. He is happily married (as is his wife, he hopes) and is the proud father of Megan.
H.I.V.E: Rogue, published by Bloomsbury in May 2010, is the fifth book in the series. H.I.V.E: Zero Hour published in September 2010, is the sixth and H.I.V.E: After Shock is the seventh in the series.
Earthfall, published by Bloomsbury in June 2012, is a 3-D mega-budget action adventure in book form.
