Synopsis

Big Cat by Pippa Goodhart

Big Cat likes to catch mice. First one, then two, then three! but when all the mice get together, Big Cat is not so playful! The Tiddlers series features fun stories with a word count of fewer than 50 words for children who are just starting to read. A word list at the beginning of the story allows for a quick check of the reader's ability to read and understand words before reading, and a puzzle at the end of the story encourages rereading for pleasure.

About the Author

Pippa Goodhart

Pippa Goodhart completed a history degree and then trained as an infant teacher before taking on a job at Heffers Children’s Bookshop in Cambridge where she worked for five years, latterly as a manager. Moving to Leicester when she married, she began to work as a publisher’s reader and to teach, but began writing when her children were little.

Her first book was published in 1994 and over forty more have been published since then. She teaches writing to adults and works as a consultant.

She has three daughters and a husband who all help her writing by being critical when they are asked to be!
