Two families, one Norman and one Saxon, seek an alliance through marriage; however, Neva's distrust of the Normans leads her into a dramatic adventure, and disaster for her family. Can she avoid marrying a Norman, and will her family be safe? Details of the past are brought accurately to life in this fast moving adventure story; and many of the places they visit and the routes they take still exist today.
