About the Author

Barbara Bottner has written more than 25 children's books and is an accomplished illustrator as well. She is best known for her highly acclaimed book Bootsie Barker Bites (Putnam) She has also written many early reading books for Golden Books, Harper Collins and Scholastic. She has two further books due for publication in 2002, The Scaredy Cats (Simon & Schuster) and Be Brown (Grooset & Dunlap). Alexander Stadler illustrated Doggy Days (Ten Speed Press) and wrote and illustrated Beverly Billingsly Borrows A Book (Silver Whistle), his first chidren's books, which will be published in April 2002.
