About the Author

MICHAEL P. SPRADLIN is the author of several books for children and teens, including Walker's Texas Rangers: Legendary Lawmen, Daniel Boone's Great Escape, and Off Like the Wind! The Story of the Pony Express, as well as the Youngest Templar series. He lives with his family in Michigan. LAYNE JOHNSON has illustrated more than a dozen picture books for children, including Off Like the Wind! and the acclaimed Farmer George Plants a Nation. He lives in Texas.
