Synopsis

Swimming Sal by Carol Molski

Sal, a Portuguese Water Dog, feels bad because she's the only dog at Hilltop Farm who hasn't won any awards. She loves to swim, though, and decides that maybe if she joins the children's YMCA swim team, she too can win a medal. When the coach objects, that plan also looks like it's going to fail, until events take a surprising turn! / With its delightful illustrations, this lighthearted story about the rewards of practice and determination will have readers cheering for the lovable Swimming Sal. It will have special appeal to children who are involved in youth sports.
