About the Author

The Tjong-Khing was born in Java, Indonesia and studied in the Netherlands. He began his career as a cartoonist and later focused on children's books. Tjong-Khing is now one of the Netherlands's most celebrated illustrators, having received several prestigious awards. His books have been translated into numerous languages.
