Synopsis

Just Like Mama by Leslea Newman

There are some things no one can do as good as a Mum. That's what the young girl in this adorable picture book learns. With a pile of pancakes shaped like moons and cocoa with a cloud of cream, no one can cook breakfast just like Mama. In her cozy comfy chair on her cozy comfy lap, no one snuggles just like Mama. Whether Mama is gardening, hosting tea parties, cooking supper or tucking her child into bed, no one does it just like her. And in the end, nobody loves Mama just like the little girl does. This is a beautiful testament to the love felt between mother and daughter and especially how, in a child's eyes, a mother does everything perfectly from cooking to playing to simply loving.
