Synopsis

Little Piggies by Paul, QC Morgan, Sally Morgan

This little piggy went to market ...but these little piggies have a PARTY. A read and count book with great illustrations

Reviews

'Bright colourful illustrations accompany this well-loved nursery rhyme. A perfect introduction to books.'

'This little piggy went to market. This little piggy threw a wild party. At last: a post-modern children's book that a child can understand. Alternative versions to classical tales are normally beyond the childreader's ken, precisely because they recreate stories which are only coming into the child's domain ... how clever of the Morgans to play with the text of a baby tale that has long been absorbed by most children. Completely familiar with the old, they are able to grasp the new and its allusive nature. They can make the connection. They get the joke. And while they are taking that unconscious leap into late twentieth-century mentality, they are laughing at the hilarious pictures and the outrageous little story'
