It's Christmas Eve in Mac the cat's house and the family are busy preparing for Christmas Day. Catriona accidentally finds her Christmas present, some beautiful jewellery -- but then loses the ring. Meanwhile the family buy an enormous Christmas tree, which Mac is determined to climb...Can Mac and Catriona find the ring before Mum and Dad notice? Margaret Forrester

Margaret Forrester was a Church of Scotland minister before becoming an author. She lives in Edinburgh. She is the author of The Cat Who Decided, a novel about Mac the cat for 6 to 9 year olds.
• Sandra Klaassen has illustrated over twenty children’s books, including illustrations for The Cat Who Decided. She is also the author and illustrator of Uan the Little Lamb.
