Michael And Angela Shelf Medearis live in Austin, Texas, where they direct Book Boosters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to tutoring elementary school children. Larry Johnson lives near Boston. He co-hosts a radio talk show and has illustrated over twenty books for children.
