Synopsis

Japanese Gilded Panel Kit by Metropolitan Museum of Art

This title is suitable for children aged 8 to 12 years old. 'The Japanese Gilded Panel Kit' was inspired by a pair of six-panel folding screens in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which were painted and embellished by Suzuki Kiitsu, a Japanese artist who was considered the last master of the Rinpa style of painting. This kit includes a pre-printed cardstock panel, two sheets of gold-leaf paper, a wooden burnishing tool, four tubes of paint, a paintbrush and a museum label, plus instructions, photographs and information about the design.
