Synopsis

Gyo Fujikawa's Little Library by Gyo Fujikawa

This title is suitable for children aged 2 to 4 years old. Little babies like to look at other little babies and this multicultural group of adorable infants is simply irresistible. Gyo Fujikawa captures them playing with toys and each other, sweetly napping and above all, growing! Four tiny little board books perfect for tiny hands feature a treasure-trove of art and text compiled from five of Fujikawa's best-loved classics, all packaged in a handsome gift-giving slipcase.

About the Author

Gyo Fujikawa (1908-1999) made a career in the advertising world and also enjoyed a lengthy stint at the Walt Disney Studios, where she designed the large book version of Fantasia. In 1957, she illustrated her first picture book, A Child's Garden of Verses. Many other followed, some of which she also wrote. Babies, published in 1963, stands as a landmark: it was the first children's book to depict infants of different races and nations sharing growing experiences. Fujikawa's books have been translated into 17 languages and are read in more than 22 countries.
