About the Author

Mari Bolte is an author of children's books and a lover of art. She lives in southern Minnesota with her husband, daughter, and two wiener dogs. A degree in creative writing has taught her the value of fine writing. Parenthood has made her a purveyor of fine art, with specializations in sidewalk chalk, washable markers, and glitter glue. D.C. Ice has over a decade of experience as an illustrator of children's books and as an accomplished artist, with an emphasis on painting. Edgy animals with human attributes are the stars of her illustrations and paintings. As a member of a gallery in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a frequent exhibitor in multiple galleries throughout the country, her love of all things art continues to grow. D.C. received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul.
