Bartholomew the bear has lots to learn about playing nicely with his new pet in this charming picture book about toddlerhood.When George gives Bartholomew a little black kitten, he tells him to be gentle with her. About the Author

Virginia Miller's first children's book, Squeak-a-lot (9780744530476) written by Martin Waddell, was runner-up for the 1991 Mother Goose Award. She has since illustrated Sailor Bear (9781844288106), Small Bear Losl, Kate's Giants and Say Please! and several other stories about the bears Bartholomew and George, as well as a novelty book, Where Is Little Black Kitten (9780744588286). She lives in Bradford-on-Avon.
