Synopsis

The Birthday Box by Leslie Patricelli

This is a funny tale exploring children's imaginations, featuring an endearing, inquisitive baby. You can stand on your box, hug it, play hide-and-seek in it...and with a bit of imagination, you can fly in an aeroplane over the ocean, sail in a boat over the sea and slide through the snow in it! But, best of all, after all that adventure, you can make a bed inside your box, snuggle down and remember all the fun you've had playing on your birthday! What is even better than getting a brand-new toy for a birthday present? Playing with the box it came in, of course! This title offers a treat for toddlers, with vibrant, quirky art and a witty story.
