Synopsis

Captain Mack and the Giant Squid by John Lomas-Bullivant

Action, drama, silliness, naughtiness and comedy abound in this full-colour comic book for newly-independent readers, based on the popular live-action CITV series. Captain Mack is on a dangerous mission to save a submarine trapped in a rocky ravine, deep in the ocean. If he's not quick, the crew will soon run out of oxygen. But our superhero soon detects something very fishy going on when he struggles to pull the vessel free...Suffering submarines! It's a giant squid causing all the trouble. Will Captain Mack manage to tie the situation up before the good people of Sunshine City need his help? It's a disaster! There's a Space Monster invasion. Or is Tracy Trickster up to her old tricks again...? Never fear, Mack is here! Sky Rockets to the Rescue! The bright and colourful comic-strip format makes this accessible series a terrific choice for newly-independent readers. It is full of action, humour, adventure, rockets and a reassuring theme of good versus naughty. It is based on the popular CITV series, which has its own website featuring games and downloads for the fans. Captain Mack introduces a wonderfully benign superhero to the very youngest of readers.
