My Friend Bear by Jez Alborough

My Friend Bear by Jez Alborough

Eddy is feeling sad and so is the Bear. They both wish they had a friend to talk to. All they've got are their teddies, and teddies can't talk. Or can they? A great first look at friendship and feelings from master picture book maker, Jez Alborough.

Greeted with shrieks of delight. The Independent on Sunday The rhyming text rollicks along and the dialogue gives plenty of opportunity for those who like to put the panache of feeling and different voices into their rendition to give a virtuoso performance. Child Education

About the Author

Jez Alborough

Jez Alborough was born in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey in 1959. As a young boy he was always very creative but it was not until a guest bought him a box of crisp white paper, some pencils and a rubber that he expressed his creativity in drawing. As Jez says "It was an act of support and encouragement which I have never forgotten. The identity of this guest remains to this day a mystery. I like to think he was my guardian angel."

Jez is very much in demand for storytelling events for children, as well as speaking about his work to librarians and teachers.

He lives in London with his wife and enjoys playing the guitar and walking along the river.
