Synopsis

George's Dragon Goes to School by Claire Freedman

Following on from the success of GEORGE'S DRAGON comes a brand-new adventure by the author of ALIENS LOVE UNDERPANTS. Bring your pet to school week is approaching, and George cannot wait to show off Sparky, his pet dragon. But Mum's worried because Sparky is not only huge but also unbelievably clumsy. Sparky's mishap gets the school fire alarm going and everyone is evacuated to the swimming-pool building where the children are supposed to have their swimming lesson next. But the heating is off and the water is freezing cold. It looks like only a dragon with impressive fire-breathing skills can save the day now!

About the Author

Claire Freedman

Claire Freedman lives on the Essex coast. She has worked for the BBC, Harrods and for a reprographic company and now writes full-time. She is the author of a number of books for children, including A Kiss Goodnight, Snuggle Up, Sleepy Ones and On This Special Night with Little Tiger Press. When not writing, Claire spends her time sailing, walking in the countryside and, when she can, travelling abroad.

Claire discovered her love of writing for children after joining a local writing group – which she still enjoys attending regularly. She began by writing stories and picture strips for comics including Twinkle, Pingu and Sesame Street, before trying her hand at picture books.
