Synopsis

Ding Dong Gorilla by Michelle Robinson

DING DONG - there's a gorilla on the doorstep! And when a gorilla pays a visit, it's not long before mischief and mayhem ensue ...He may look fierce, but all he wants to do is play football, or watch a film or make a cake ...which results in one monstrous MESS! Michelle Robinson's fabulously funny text is matched by Leonie Lord's bright and feisty art style to create a book with BIG impact.

Reviews

An absolute must read book that is hilariously funny and could easily be read over and over again. Little Fiction Fascination A great big slice of chaos, fun, good news and bad, all told in a confessional tone that will even have big cheeky monkeys clutching their sides. Daily Record Leonie Lord's accompanying pastel illustrations are perfect. Independent on Sunday Wildly funny... strong crayon lines and colour tell us lots of extra detail. Books for Keeps One of the best books for this age group we have ever come across. Bookbag Leonie Lord's bold and expressive illustrations and clever page design really add to the storytelling. About the Author

Michelle Robinson

Michelle Robinson grew up in Gloucestershire and loved making up stories and being silly. She put that to good use by getting a job as a copywriter. She wrote over 6000 radio adverts before moving on to television and the web. She soon got bored though, which is when she started writing funny stories for children and their parents to enjoy reading umpteen times. Her picture book There's a Lion in My Cornflakes won the Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards. She lives in Frome with her husband, son and daughter.
