About the Author

Gina Pollinger is a published author, compiler, and an editor of children's books and young adult books. Gina studied English at Oxford and worked as an editor in London and New York, before becoming a hugely-respected literary agent for over 25 years before her retirement. In 1998, Gina was awarded the Eleanor Farjeon Award for her distinguished contribution to the world of children's books. She lives in London. Emma Chichester Clark studied at The Royal College of Art in London, where one of her tutors was Quentin Blake. She is a multi-award-winning illustrator and was honoured with The Mother Goose Award for illustration. Emma's picture books include the popular I Love You Blue Kangaroo! which was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway medal. For Orchard, Emma has illustratrated many of our prized and treasured gift books, including The Orchard Book of Greek Myths, The Orchard Book of Greek Gods and Goddesses, The Orchard Book of Roman Myths, The Orchard Book of Aesop's Fables, The Orchard Book of Grimm's Fairy Tales and The Orchard Book of Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales.
