Synopsis

Brer Rabbit Down the Well by Louie Stowell

This is a new title in the fantastic First Reading series, part of the Usborne Young Reading Programme. It is aimed at children who are beginning to read. When Brer Fox tricks Brer Rabbit into falling down a well, he has to come up with a plan to get out mighty fast before the hunter comes! This key series was developed in conjunction with reading expert Allison Kelly from the University of Roehampton. Every title in this series has clear and compelling text that allows children to build their burgeoning reading skills and is accompanied by charming and highly appealing illustrations.

About the Author

Louie Stowell

Louie Stowell is a children’s writer. She writes non-fiction about space, spaceships, history and other true things. She also writes retellings of myths about tricksters and other shadowy figures and stories about pirates and vampires. Louie’s also written a book about how to write books and comics about how to make comics. She draws comics about gods and politicians (not together) and runs workshops and loves science fiction and real science more or less equally, although she remains disappointed about science’s failure to (so far) create flying cars.
