Crime Scene Science Science Fair Winners by Karen Romano Young

Crime Scene Science Science Fair Winners by Karen Romano Young

The natural curiosity of kids, combined with a strong interest in forensic science brought on by CSI and the like will encourage kids to try every workshop in this book. It puts readers inside the yellow crime scene tape with experiments that investigate rates of decomposition, what's unique about fingerprints, handwriting and paper fiber analysis, and more. Each workshop is completed with suggestions for how to make the best presentation for science fairs, how to take the experiment one step further, or in a different direction, and science vocabulary words, so the readers become someone who can not only walk the walk but talk the talk!

About the Author

Karen Romano Young is very much a renaissance woman with interests as broad as the seven seas and as deep as the deepest trench in the deepest ocean, with a particular interest in anything oceanic. She is an author of many celebrated books for young readers, both fiction and nonfiction, some of which she also illustrated. Her interest in science experiments are an outgrowth of many successive years of science fair projects with her children. Karen and her family live in Connecticut.
