Over the course of 8 short chapters, stunningly illustrated by his aerial photography, Bobby Haas shares with kids the adventure that is aerial photography. He relates the thrills, the close calls, and the incredible joy that comes with observing animals in a way that few humans ever have. Each chapter features a particular observations: lions hunting buffaloes, flamingoes taking off from the surface of the water and miraculously shaping themselves into the shape of a flamingo, a lone wildebeest travelling with a herd of zebra, almost crashing into a group of sharks, a crocodile catching its prey and eating it, whales twirling in the water, bears coming out of hibernation and feasting on salmon, and flying literally with the birds. About the Author

Robert B. Haas came to photography as a second career, inspired by his experiences observing wildlife over the course of many safaris. In the years since he has been devoting himself to his art, Haas has published six books on wildlife, including one children's book, African Critters. Haas's photographs have appeared in major exhibits in aound the world, and his work has been featured on CBS News Sunday Morning and CNN, and in the pages of National Geographic magazine, Time magazine, Forbes, Life, American Way magazine, and numberous other publications around the world. Haas donates all the royalties from his photographic work to nonprofit foundations and wildlife conservation organizations and has been recognised by the WILD Foundation and the United Nations Environmental Programme for his contributions on behalf of endangered species and the environment. Haas is Chairman of the Board of Haas Wheat and Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm. A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, Haas has endowed professorships and been a frequent lecturer at both institutions. He lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and six dogs
