Little hands books for babies are a series of board books specially designed to promote and nurture reading from early childhood. This is the first box set of four from Jacana Media and the Little Hands Trust, with a focus on vocabulary building and reading for enjoyment. Illustrated by award winning illustrator Alzette Prins, the stories are accompanied by rich, brightly coloured illustrations that will capture a child's attention and imagination. The stories are brought to life by well known South African writers - Carole Bloch, William Gumede, Sue Kramer and Tuelo Gabonewe. The little hands Books for babies box sets are available in all 11 official South African languages. Hippo and his friends. Look at me. Knock, knock! That's better.

About the Author

Azette Prins has illustrated mainly children's literature for educational and trade publishing houses and has a BA in Fine Arts as well as a BA Honours in Book Illustration. Her editorial illustrations also appear in a variety of publications. Alzette's awards to date are Winner in ISPAA Design Awards, New York 1992, category: best seasonal brochure for Distell's Oude Libertas Amphitheatre seasonal brochure as well as the Caxton Magazine Excellence Awards 2007 - merit award for excellence in the category of 'Image of the Year' - 'Illustration or cartoon'
