The Lovereading comment:
Shortlisted for the Blue Peter Best Book of the Decade.
A Richard and Judy Children's Book Club selection 2011.
A brilliant story with football as the backdrop to the story about Horrid Henry, his little brother, Perfect Pete and of course not forgetting Moody Margaret. Henry is as determined as ever to get his own way and will stop at nothing to achieve his ends. Above all, he won’t let Perfect Pete or Moody Margaret stand in his way. How Henry and Pete continue their feuding adventures makes for more hilarious reading. This edition is an ‘Early reader’, so the text is interspersed with colour illustrations on every page. The Early Readers are perfect for parents to share with youngsters who are just beginning to enjoy chapter books rather than just picture books.
There are lots of Early Reader titles to choose from that are great for sharing with your youngsters and for kids just starting out on the reading journey to read alone. Check out the extracts on the site as some of the titles are slightly more advanced than others - for example the Francesca Simon animal story titles set at Potters Barn are great to get started on whereas the Sally Gardner, Georgie Adams and Vivian French titles have a bit more text to each page. Each and every one of them though has full colour illustrations on every page.
